Is it important for you to look on the person's physical appearance than to his/her attitude? Maybe, in some other ways, because physical appearance can somehow push to your eagerness to pursue your likes or feelings to that person. But also, you need to consider the attitude and values of that person because it is important also, so that you will have a good and harmonious relationship together.
There are some couples who breaks up because they only seen the beauty outside, without looking the true beauty that comes within. I already experienced it but already change it. It's better to have a lover that has a monster face than having a lover that has monster attitude.

I feel the valuable thing in a relationship is not how good looking one's partner is. It is about a mutual respect for another person's way of being and giving that person the freedom and space to be that way.
When people meet each other, they give importance to looks. But after sometime, they start discovering other aspect of each other's personality. That is where looks assume secondary importance in a long lasting relationship.
